■ 沖田 奈央 OKITA Nao
ガラス作家 / 東京都 Glassworks Artist / Tokyo
“朝の日差しの白・湖畔に降る雨・庭の木々の移ろい”など、四季の景色や心の彩りを“ガラスの重なりや奥行き”に落とし込み表現される沖田さん。
窯で硝子を焼き溶かす「キルンワーク」技法を用いて制作される作品は、繊細な色使いが特徴で、まるで1枚の絵画のように、思わず惹き込まれる美しさをたたえています。
Nao’s style to put pieces of scenery, like ‘white morning sunlight, rain falling on the lakeside, and seasonal changes of garden trees’, and color image rising in her mind, into the ‘layers and depth’ of her glass works.
They are made with the kiln work technique, by which glass is fired and melted in a kiln, characterized by delicate coloring, like a painting. You must be enchanted with overwhelming beauty.

大学で福祉を学ばれた後、就職先の児童施設での子供たちとの関わりの中で、“木”という温かな自然素材に着目された南さん。
「どんな日でも、食事をする時間は、素敵な時間であって欲しい。」という優しい思いが込められた、温もり溢れる手彫りの鑿跡と、端正な美しい造形とのバランスが眼を惹く作品です。
After studying social welfare at university, Yuki focused on the warmth of wood as a natural material while working at a children’s home where he worked.
“I want mealtime to be always lovely, no matter what day it is. ”The balance between the warmth of the hand-carved chisel marks and the neat and beautiful form of the piece is eye-catching.
